Soru kelimeleri nitelik, zamanlar, mekanlar, insanlar vb. gibi spesifik sorular sormak için kullanılırlar. Yes / No (Evet / Hayır) sorularından farklıdırlar

Question words are used to ask about specific qualities, times, places, people, etc. They are different from yes / no questions

Do you live in France? (Fransa’da mı yaşıyorsun?)

Who (Kim)

Use: Asking about people. (Kullanım : İnsanlar hakkında sorular)

Who do you like? (Kimi beğenirsin?)

Who studies Russian? (Kim Rusça öğreniyor?)

What (Ne)

Use: Asking about things or activities. (Kullanım : Nesneler ve etkinlikler hakkında sorular sorar.)

What does he do at weekends? (Haftasonları (o) ne yapar?)

What is that? (Şu nedir?)

What kind of / type of (Ne çeşit)

Use: Asking about specific things or characteristics. (Kullanım : Belirli şeyler veya özellikler hakkında sorular sorar.)

What type of car do you drive? (Ne tür bir araba kullanıyorsun?)

What kind of person is he? (O nasıl (ne çeşit) biridir?)

What time (Ne zaman)

Use: Asking for a specific time (Kullanım : Spefisik bir zaman hakkında sorular sorar.)

What time does the show begin? (Gösteri ne zaman başlıyor?)

What … like (ne gibi / nasıl)

Use: Asking about characteristics. (Kullanım : Özellikler (durum) hakkında sorular sorar.)

What is Mary like? (Mary neye benzer?)

When (Ne zaman)

Use: Asking about general or specific times. (Kullanım : Genel veya belirli bir zaman hakkında sorular sorar.)

When do you like going out? (Ne zaman dışarı çıkmak istersin?)

When does the bus leave? (Otobüs ne zaman kalkıyor?)

Where (Neresi / nereden / nereye / nerede)

Use: Asking about places. (Kullanım : Mekanlar hakkında sorular sorar.)

Where do you live? (Nerede yaşıyorsun?)

Where did you go on vacation? (Tatilde nereye gittin?)

How (Nasıl)

Use: Combined with many words to ask questions about specific characteristics, qualities, quantities, etc. (Kullanım : Bir çok diğer kelime ile birleşerek spesifik özellikler, nitelikler, nicelikler vb. hakkında sorular sorar.)

For example: How much (price, quantity), How long (length), How often (frequency). (Örneğin : Ne kadar (fiyat, miktar), Ne kadar uzun (uzunluk), Ne kadar sürede (sıklık).)

How often do you go to the movies? (Ne kadar sık film izlemeye gidersin?)

How long was the film? (Film ne kadar sürdü?)

How much does it cost? (Ne kadar tutar?)

Which (Hangi / hangisi)

Use: Asking to specify a thing or person from a number of things or people. (Kullanım : Bir nesneyi veya bir kişiyi diğerlerinden ayırmak için sorular sorar.)

Which book did you buy? (Hangi kitabı aldın?)

Which boy won the race? (Yarışı hangi çocuk kazandı?)
