INGILIZCE REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS – DÜZENLI VE DÜZENSIZ FIILLER – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

İngilizce’de fiiller zamanlarına göre aldıkları takıların değişimine bağlı olarak düzenli ve düzensiz olarak isimlendirilirler.Basit geçmiş zamanda düzenli fiiller (regular verbs) “-ed”, “-d”, “ied” eklenerek değiştirilirler.

In English some verbs are regular and others are irregular depending on how they change with a tense.In the Past Simple, regular verbs change by adding an -ed, -d, or -ied.

If the verb ends in a consonant, we add -ed.
(Eğer fiil sesli harf ile bitiyorsa -ed eklenir.)

eg. start – started

finish – finished

work – worked

If a verb ends in -e, we simply add -d.
(Eğer fiil -e ile bitiyorsa basitçe “-d” eklenir.)

eg. live – lived

create – created

phone – phoned

If a verb ends in a consonant + y, we change the y to -ied.
(Eğer bir fiil sessiz harf + y ile bitiyorsa, sondaki “-y” “-ied” ile değiştirilir. )

eg. study – studied

marry – married

try – tried

NB: If the verb ends in a vowel + y, we just add -ed.
(Not: Eğer fiil sesli harf + -y ile bitiyorsa sadece “-ed” eklenir.)

eg. play – played

stay – stayed

If a verb ends in a consonant + vowel + consonant, we double the last consonant and add -ed. (Eğer bir fiil sessiz harf + sesli harf + sessiz harf ile bitiyorsa, sondaki sessiz harf tekrar edilir ve “-ed” eklenir.)

eg. stop – stopped

rob – robbed

There are no rules for irregular verbs! You must learn them!
