INGILIZCE YES / NO QUESTIONS – EVET / HAYIR SORULARI – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

İngilizcede basit (Evet / Hayır) soruları üç farklı yolda şekillendirilirler.Basit soru şekilleri, sorunun oluştuğu ifadenin aşağıda belirtilenlere haiz olup olmadığına bağlıdır:

Simple (Yes / No) questions in English are formed in three different ways. The form of simple questions depends on whether the statement from which the question is made has:

– BE (but no other verb),  (- BE (ancak başka bir fiil olmayacak))

– an auxiliary verb (including BE) and a main verb, or (bir yardıncı fiil (BE dahil) ve bir asıl fiil, veya)

– only a main verb (not BE and not with an auxiliary.) (sadece bir asıl fiil (BE yok ve bir yardımcı fiil ile))

To make simple questions with a form of BE (is, am, are,was, were), the form is BE + subject + other words ?

(“BE” nin (is, am, are, was, were) bir şekli ile basit sorular oluşturmak amacı için şekil: BE + özne + başka sözcükler?)

Examples:(Örnekler:)

Joe is here today. —> Is Joe here today? (Joe bugün burada. —> Joe bugün burada mı?)

Alice and Bob were in an accident. —>Were Alice and Bob in an accident? (Alice ve Bob bir kazaya karıştılar. —> Alice ve Bob bir kazaya karıştılar?)

I’m on time. —> Am I on time? (Ben dakikim. —> Dakik miyim?)

The weather was nice yesterday. —>Was the weather nice yesterday? (Hava dün güzeldi. —> Hava dün güzelmiydi?)

You’re tired. —> Are you tired? (Sen yorgunsun. —> Sen yorgunmusun?)

To make questions from statements with an auxiliary verb and a main verb, the form is AUX + subject + main verb + other words ?

(Yardımcı fiil ve asıl fiil bulunan ifadelerden sorular oluşturmak amacı için kullanılan şekil: YARDIMCI FİİL + özne asıl fiil + başka sözcükler?)

Examples:(Örnekler:)

You are going shopping tomorrow. —>Are you going shopping tomorrow? (Yarın alış veriş yapmaya gidiyorsun. —> Yarın alış veriş yapmaya mı gidiyorsun?)

You have been to Paris. —>Have you been to Paris? (Sen Paris’te bulundun. —> Sen Paris’te bulundun mu?)

You were sleeping when I called you. —>Were you sleeping when I called you? (Seni aradığımda uyuyordun. —> Seni aradığımda uyuyormuydun?)

To make questions from statements that only contain main verbs, the form is AUX + subject + infinitive + other words ?

(Sadece asıl fiiller içeren ifadelerden sorular oluşturmak amacı için kullanılan şekil: YARDIMCI FİİL + özne + mastar + başka sözcükler?)

Examples:(Örnekler:)

You play tennis. —>Do you play tennis? (Sen tenis oynuyorsun. —> Sen tenis oynuyormusun?)

He went to university. —>Did he go to university? (O üniversiteye gitti. —> O üniversiteye gitti mi?)

She studies maths. —>Does she study maths? (O matematik öğrenimi görüyor. —> O matematik öğrenimi görüyor mu?)
