We usually use the Present Perfect Continuous to talk about an activity that started in the past and continues in the present.
(Yalın Yakın Geçmiş Zamanı genelde geçmişte başlamış olan ve halen devam etmekte olan bir aktivite için kullanırız.)

Examples (Örnekler):
Tokiko has been studying English for five years.
(Tokiko beş seneden beri İngilizce öğreniyor.)

We usually use the Present Perfect Simple to talk about a state that started in the past and continues in the present.
(Yalın Yakın Geçmiş Zamanı genelde geçmişte başlamış olan ve halen devam etmekte olan bir durum için kullanırız.)

Examples (Örnekler):
My parents have been married for 48 years!
(Ebeveynlerim 48 seneden beri evliler!)

With some verbs both verb forms are possible. 
(Bazı fiillerde her iki fiil durumu mümkündür.)

I’ve lived in Istanbul for nine months.
(Ben Istanbul’da dokuz ay yaşadım.)

I’ve been living in Istanbul for nine months.
(Ben dokuz aydan beri Istanbul’da yaşıyorum.)

He’s worked at that company for two years.
(O söz konusu şirkette iki yıl çalıştı.)

He’s been working at that company for two years.
(O bu şirkette iki seneden beri çalışıyor.)

We usually use the Present Perfect Continuous to say how long an activity has been happening.
(Yalın Yakın Geçmiş Zamanı genelde bir eylemin ne zamandan beri devam ettiğini belirtmek için kullanırız.)

Example (Örnek):
He has been running his own business for six years.
(O kendi işini altı seneden beri yürütüyor.)

We usually use the Present Perfect Simple to say how many things are finished.
(Yalın Yakın Geçmiş Zamanı genelde ne kadar şeyin bitirildiğini belirtmek için kullanırız.)

Example (Örnek):
She has answered twenty emails this morning.
(O bu sabah yirmi e-posta cevaplandırdı.)
