INGILIZCE VERBS AND PREPOSITIONS – FIILLER VE EDATLAR – TÜRKÇE KONU ANLATIMI

It is a good idea to learn the prepositions that go with particular verbs as you learn them.
(Öğrendikçe belli fiiller ile uyumlu olan edatları öğrenmek iyi bir fikirdir.)

Examples (Örnekler):
dream about – What did you dream about last night?
(rüya görmek – Dün gece ne hakkında rüya gördün?)

listen to – What radio station do you usually listen to?
(dinlemek – Genelde hangi radyo istasyonunu dinlersin?)

talk about – What do you talk about with your friends?
(hakkında konuşmak – Arkadaşların ile ne hakkında konuşursun?)

wait for – I’m waiting for a bus.
(beklemek – Otobüsü bekliyorum)

agree with – Do you agree with me?
(hemfikir olmak -Benimle hemfikir misin?)

write to – I am writing to my mother.
(birisine yazmak – Anneme yazıyorum)

think of – What do you think of this book?
(hakkında düşünmek – Bu kitap hakkında ne düşünüyorsun?)

think about – I’m thinking about travelling next year.
(tasarlamak – Gelecek sene seyahata çıkmayı tasarlıyorum)

argue with – I often argue with my father.
(birisiyle tartışmak – Babam’la sıkça ile tartışırım)

speak to – I spoke to my boss this morning.
(birisiyle konuşmak – Bu sabah patronum ile konuştum)

travel to/by – I travel to Australia by plane.
(bir yere/bir şey ile seyahat etmek – Avustralya’ya uçak ile seyahat ediyorum)

go on – She’s going on a tour of Istanbul.
(gitmek – O bir İstanbul turuna gidecek)

return to – He returned to the UK last month.
(bir yere geri dönmek – Geçen ay Birleşik Krallığa geri döndü)

pay for – He paid for the car in cash.
(bir şey için ödemek – Araba kazası için nakit ödedi)

look for – I’m looking for a job.
(aramak – Bir iş arıyorum)

sell to/for – We sold our house to an English family for $600 000.
(birine stamak/şu kadara – Biz eski evimizi $600 000’a bir İngiliz aileye sattık)

look out of – If you look out of the window you can see my new car.
(bir yerden dışarı bakmak – Pencereden dışarı bakarsan, yeni arabamı görebilirsin)

spend on – They spend $200 on transport every month.
(bir şeye harcama yapmak –Her ay nakliye için $200 harcıyorlar)

fly to – He is going to fly to Paris tomorrow.
(bir yere uçmak – Yarın Paris’e uçacak)
